Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology of Guilan University of Medical Sciences
 is one of the seven vice chancellors of the university, which operates under the
supervision of the university president.

The following departments are subdivisions of the Vice President for Research:

1- Management of research development and evaluation

2- Management of medical information and scientific resources
 (scientometrics group - library of all faculties and educational centers)

3- Health technology development management

Health Technology Development Center, Student Research Committee,
Comprehensive Research Laboratory and 26 research centers in various 
specialized fields and 3 clinical research development centers operate
 under the direct supervision of this deputy.
